# VatScope Privacy Policy

VatScope displays activity on the VATSIM network. This policy explains what the app stores and how it uses online services.

## Data stored by the app

VatScope stores your preferences, optional information you enter (such as an ownship VATSIM CID or saved friends), downloaded data, purchase access status, and diagnostic logs on your device. Some saved data may also sync through Apple iCloud, as described below. VatScope does not publish this saved information or make it available to other VatScope users.

## Service providers

VatScope uses service providers to deliver its features:

- **Apple iCloud** provides private syncing for saved friends. Apple also processes in-app purchases.
- **Mapbox** provides the map. Its SDK may collect de-identified usage and location data. You can access its telemetry setting through the map’s attribution control.
- **RevenueCat** helps verify purchases and enable purchased features. It receives purchase information associated with an app user identifier.
- **Navigraph** provides optional navigation data. If you link Navigraph, VatScope uses authorization tokens to access that data.
- **VATSIM and other data providers** supply information displayed in the app. Requests to them may include technical connection information, such as your IP address.

## VatScope servers

The app contacts VatScope servers to retrieve information such as flights and controllers. The servers receive request details and store technical connection information, including your IP address. This information is retained for security and diagnostic purposes and deleted automatically when it is no longer needed for those purposes. VatScope does not sell or share this stored information.

## Your choices and deletion

You can change or remove information you have saved in the app.

Deleting VatScope removes data stored locally by the app. It may not remove data previously synced to iCloud or purchase records retained by Apple or RevenueCat.

## Changes

If VatScope’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the date above will be revised.
